Liveoutside garden products are committed to innovative product development and manufacturing. Our products are manufactured to the highest standards. Advanced treatment process with permanent wood preservative provides complete protection against rot and insect attack for up to 10 years. Please notice that 10 years guarantee applies only to products which have no contact with the ground. Otherwise durability of the wood is reduced.

The life of a building depends upon it's foundations. It is vitally important that your base is firm, level, square and large enough to accommodate the building you have ordered. Ideally, your garden building should be installed on a flat concrete slab which is unlikely to sink or break up. A thickness of 50 to 100mm is required, depending upon the size and type of building that you have ordered. As an alternative, concrete paving slabs or decking bases may be laid but they should still be level, unlikely to sink at any point and completely cover the area of base required. If you have any doubts concerning the base seek advice from a local builder.

All of the timbers are pressure impregnated using the most advanced formulation of permanent wood preservative which guarantees our products for many years against decay, weathering and insect attack.

Pressure treatment is a lifetime preservative treatment. The preservative is forced into the timber under pressure in a vacuum and penetrates below the surface. All other treatments apply a coat of stain to the surface of the timber only. With pressure impregnated timber, the chemicals are permanently fixed in the wood.

Get your garden ready for the autumn and winter

As we enter into late August and early September, the summer months start to wind down. The temperatures begin to drop, the nights draw in, and many of us get our houses and gardens ready for the wind, rain, and maybe even snow that comes with autumn and winter. However, whilst many people prepare their garden for winter by removing furniture and other timber products, you can in fact do the opposite, and add more to your garden. Doing this will allow you to use your garden more during the winter months, ensuring that it is not neglected and won't require major surgery when spring comes around again. So, with that in mind, here are three different types of garden products that can help you get your garden ready for the coming autumn and winter months, starting with greenhouses!

Greenhouses

Greenhouses are the ideal winter addition for any garden. Although many people will associate greenhouses with the summer, they can also be used very effectively to grow fruits, vegetables, and herbs through the autumn and winter months, providing that you heat them sufficiently and look after them properly. Therefore they are a great winter project for anyone interested in gardening that misses tending to their fruits and vegetables in the winter, and they allow you to have home grown produce all year round.

Gazebos

Like greenhouses, many people think that gazebos are only of use in the summer, but they can also be used on balmy autumn evenings and crisp, sunny winter days just as easily. If you are planning to try to use your gazebo all year round, you will want to purchase one that has low walls, to provide you with a bit more shelter from the elements! At Live Outside, we have a wide range of different gazebo options that would be suitable for use in both the summer and winter months, although when it's snowing you might want to think about staying inside!

Smoking shelters

Now that we are more aware of the health effects of smoking, many people prefer to go outside to have their cigarette, cigar, or pipe. So if you're going to be outside smoking all winter, a smoking shelter will allow you to do so whilst being protected from the wet and windy weather.
