Most people connect idea of treasure hunting with pirates or with fairytales. But it can be a wonderful playtime for children and for parents, willingly to spend time together in a garden or a park. They might try to find unusual things, an unknown objects or run, hide, creep...treasure-small

That kind of outside game is very useful for children because they learn how fun it is to play outside and spend an active outdoor. It might also inprove language and basic maths development and evolve social skills. Games like this – adults hide a few things in the garden and give a list of them to a group of children – they should find, named and count all objects. It will take about an hour and will be very funny.

It happened recently to gardener Jan Long of Ledbury, from Herefordshire in England. He discovered in his garden unique and precious jewellery coins and other antique elements, which for a hundeds of years were burried on his land. Now he is an owner of inter alia Edwardian chain-mail bag, old coins ond orders, antique watch, decorated mirror – most of those things are over 500 years old and have a huge value.

Treasure hunting might bring you and your family a lot of money, as in some cases. And if not it will surely bring a lot of fun – and time spent on having fun with our kids is priceless.
